This year’s Aggie 100, a list of the fastest-growing companies owned or led by Texas A&M graduates, includes 15 businesses led by former College of Architecture students — including two of the list's top five.

The list, published annually by the Mays Business School’s McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, is compiled annually by an independent accounting firm that calculates the growth rate of nominated businesses.

Embree Asset Group, led by Philip Annis ‘83, and Frank Krenek ’80, is a national, single-tenant build-to-suit developer specializing in turnkey projects that provides in-house real estate development, legal, design, and construction management services. It placed 3rd on the list.

Slate Construction, led by Christian Brown ‘’98, has more than 40 years’ experience in the Houston commercial construction market building a variety of projects including high-end residential, healthcare, office, educational, religious and industrial projects. It placed 4th on the list.

LASAL Services, led by Tom Sexton ’06, provides a wide variety of services to a continuously growing customer base in the construction and oil markets. It placed 13th on the list.

Bradley Construction Management, led by Mark Bradley ’83, represents and guides project owners through the complex construction process. It placed 18th on the list.

Texana Builders, led by Dustin Hubbard ’97, provides project budgeting, construction management services, value engineering services, design-build, design assist and additional services. It placed 21st on the list.

Hillwood Construction Services, led by Jim Linden ’76, provides general contracting and construction management services for clients throughout the U.S. It placed 45th on the list.

EcoZapp Air Purification, led by Joshua Zapalac ’12, provides air conditioning services and whole home indoor air purifiers. It placed 58th on the list.

PlanNorth Architectural Co., led by Katie Burch ’05 and Ken Burch ’07, is a boutique firm of architects and designers who specialize in the workplace, worship spaces, learning environments and athletic venues. It placed 59th on the list.

Method Architecture, led by Jake Donaldson ’04, Eric Hudson ’04, and Keith Holley ’03, is a full-service architecture firm specializing in tenant finish and ground-up projects encompassing industrial, retail, office, breweries, public and more. It placed 61st on the list.

Northgate Construction, led by Philip Kelly ’93, is a full-service construction general contractor focused on commercial interiors and ground-up projects. It placed 70th on the list.

Horizon Firearms, led by Austin Ratliff '15, which creates one-of-a-kind legacy pieces that are passed down from generation to generation, placed 74th on the list.

Arch-Con Corporation, led by Michael Scheurich ’92, is a design-build commercial development and construction company that placed 76th on the list.

Schwarz Hanson Architects, led by Tom Hanson ’88 and Gerald Schwarz ’82, is a team of committed, talented designers and technicians that employ technology, including building information modeling and virtual reality, to design and produce projects and effectively communicate with clients and contractors. It placed 84th on the list.

Encore Mechanical, LLC, led by John Reynal ’92, is a heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor that performs mechanical contracts in new construction and renovation projects designed with variable refrigerant flow equipment. It placed 89th on the list.

PACT Design Studio, led by Matthew Faulkner ’02 and Brian Gibbs ’03, designs spaces to help  clients live, work, learn, and connect with others more fully and productively than they could before. It placed 90th on the list.
